A Couple More Attempts

Here are another couple of Amigurumi I have been working on.

I have to admit, it's very addictive and I am enjoying it soo much.
The little reindeer is my favourite soo far, however I am currently working on a larger piece (medium size animal) who is turning out really cute.  I will show you him next time.
Until next time

It's A Bunny!!

My first try at Amigurumi.
It was fun and I have already started on another animal, this time an owl.  I am just practicing at the moment getting used to stitches and tension etc.  When i'm confident I have the hang of it I will move on to bigger and better animals.

I'm Done

Well dear friends, I think I am done.  I cannot see myself returning to cross stitch anymore.  I haven't picked up a needle in over 10 months and I honestly think the time has come to say goodbye to this dear hobby.  I feel that I am at this stage where I can't see any more making of smalls or stitching larger pieces to be framed, I think you have that feeling that enough is enough, nothing else grabs you anymore and you don't want to display anything else.  I love all my current pieces and I have some wonderful gifts on display from some of my dear friends in blogland and I will always treasure those, but I just can't bring myself to make anything else cross stitch related.
I will still work on sewing projects and applique, but I don't think I will be as prolific as I once was.

Therefore I have started to sell off my cross stitch stash.  I have already sold some fabric on a Facebook group here in Aus, however with my charts I wanted to see if any of my friends were after any certain charts before I sold them on the group page.  Obviously if you are outside Australia I would need to quote you on international postage on top of the cost of the charts.  Charts will be offered at discounted prices.
If you would like to message me with a list of charts you are after then I can look through my collection and see if I have any for you.  I have a large collection of LHN, Lizzie Kate, Prairie Schooler, Blackbird Designs, Bent Creek, Plum Street Samplers and various others.  I also have a large collection of WDW threads, Gentle Arts, Victorian Motto and other hand dyed threads.

Until next time, happy stitching everyone

Clayton's Christmas

I joined in with the Clayton's Christmas swap over at the No Fuss Swappers blog.
This was my first time swapping with this group and it was such a fun first exchange.
I received my parcel from the lovely Dzintra.  We had to include a fat 1/4 of christmas fabric, a handmade or bought ornie, some buttons and a treat.
I love my goodies, thank you Dzintra.

It's Been A While

Hello dear friends,
as the heading suggests it sure has been a while.  However, I can happily report that I am now moved into our new home and loving it.  Our old house went straight on the market for sale and again I can happily report that it went under offer at it's first home open, so fingers crossed now that the purchasers finance approval goes through.

So as you can imagine I have done zero stitching since my last post.  I have unpacked all my lovely stitching treasures, gifts and exchange pieces and been organising them into there special places on bookshelves and drawers but I still haven't unpacked that mojo.

Here is a wonderful chart I received as a gift from a dear friend for my birthday this week.

Until next time, happy stitching

Lovely Surprise

I got two lovely surprises in the mail yesterday.
One was the chart I won over on Stitchersanon blog as mentioned in my previous post.  However, Gaynor also included some of her own charts in the envelope too, so now I have some more wonderful Christmas themed charts to stitch.  Thank you Gaynor.

My second surprise was from a dear member of my Stitch, Create, Exchange blog - Lynda Ruth.  I didn't join in with the Christmas Joy round last year as I just had too much going on, but Lynda Ruth didn't want me to miss out and sent me along a great Christmas parcel.  We thought it had got lost along the way, but from being posted on 29/11/2015 it finally made it to me on 12/02/2016.  It doesn't matter as I will now have some new things to display for this coming Christmas instead.

Thank you Lynda Ruth for the lovely items you made and sent, it was kind of you to think of me.

Until next time, happy stitching

A Win To Start

Gosh it's been a whole month since my last post.
Well unfortunately I don't have anything to show.  My time is currently spent getting our house ready for sale and a lot of my stash and supplies are packed away in boxes as we are de-cluttering so it helps to make the rooms look bigger.  Luckily I have a great boss who has allowed us to store some small furniture pieces and boxes at my works warehouse so we don't have to hire a storage room.
I'm excited about moving, my son is attending a new private high school that has just been built up in our Eastern Hills suburbs so we want to move up there to be closer for him.  We have lived in our current house for 10 years and updated it over that time, but it is only a small sized 4 bedroom 2 bathroom and now my son is growing we need more room anyway.

On the other hand I was the lucky winner of a chart giveaway over on stitcheranon's blog.  I have always liked the look of this chart and can see some Christmas ornies for this year being done with this design.

Until next time, happy stitching
