SSCS - Received

Now I get to share the amazing gift I received from Florence for SSCS this year.
Here is another look at the gorgeous Tilda trees she made for me, and now the amazing gift that was inside the main parcel is ....

I was speechless when I opened it.  It is the prettiest bag and i'm going to make my Mum so jealous this afternoon when I take it over to show her.  She loves to see what I receive at Christmas through my exchanges, but I think I might have to keep a close eye on this one as she may try stealing it.  I also received a lovely cross stitch kit aswell.  Thank you for being my Secret Santa this year Florence.

Santa Sack Swap - Received

What an exciting morning - opening my Santa Sack goodies from Fiona, and my SSCS from Florence (I will do a separate post with pics for this).
Just look at the lovely things that Fiona made and sent.

I have always liked these style tea towels, and now I have two.  The little cross stitch was tucked inside the lovely blue floral pouch, and that amazing bag that Fiona has made out of fabric edge labels is chockers full of little eclair type lollies, mmm yummy!!

Thank you Fiona for everything you made and sent, I shall treasure them always.  Also below is a photo of the little mini quilt she had already asked me to open, on display with my collection of ornies this year.

Until next time, happy stitching and Merry Christmas everyone.

Catch Up

Hello dear friends and followers,
I finished all the shopping this morning - yes I braved the shops but got in super early and out before the mad rush.
All gifts are wrapped and now it's a relaxing evening - hope there will be some good Christmas shows on tv tonight.

Here is a catch up on some stitching.
First up this is what I sent to Cindy for our christmas ornie swap.  I also included some small charts and thread for Cindy to rebuild her stash.

Here is a photo of all the ornie's I made up for friends, family and swaps this Christmas.

I shall return soon with photo's of my Santa Sack swap (I'm holding out till the big day), and my SSCS main parcel pic.
Until then, Merry Christmas to you and your family and a Happy New Year.
Until next time, happy stitching

My SSCS Has Arrived

My lovely SSCS parcel all the way from France has arrived.  My swap partner this year is Florence and for the ornie that I was allowed to open straight away Florence made me two Tilda trees, aren't they lovely!!
I can't wait to get into the main squishy parcel, but I will be good and wait till Christmas Day.
Thank you Florence for being my Secret Santa this year.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Yearly Exchange With Angela

Yes, it's that time of year again!!  Angela and I chose to stitch a freebie design again and send to each other unfinished.  Along with extra christmas goodies here is what I sent to Angela this year.  The freebie design is by Plum Pudding Needlearts - Blessed Be.
We also always exchange ornies and this year I made a fabric snowman.

And here is what I received from Angela.  Got a great owl theme going on here.  This freebie is by Erynne Chard and is Owls of Autumn.  I love it, just have to put my thinking cap on to come up with a wonderful way to finish it.
Angela's ornie is a lovely cross stitch finish "Merry Merry".

Thanks for another great yearly exchange Angela, they are always so much fun.
Until next time, happy stitching

Santa Sack arrived

I'm so excited as I have received my Santa Sack from my swap partner Fiona.

Fiona wanted me to open one of the parcels so I could display it for Christmas.  She made me a sweet stitchery ornie for the tree and a gorgeous mini.  I have displayed it on my pot cupboard this year.  We are not putting up the big tree this year as it takes up a lot of room and I have to be prepared to list our house for sale soon and didn't want it making the room look small, so I am using an ornamental tree on top of the pot cupboard and will display all the ornies I have received this year on it.

Thank you Fiona for such a lovely sack, mini and ornie. I can't wait for opening day so I get to open the others.

This is the sack I sent Fiona's gifts in.  Silly me forgot to put the red ribbon around the top of it before I posted it off.

Until next time, happy stitching
