Beautiful Fabric

Thank you for all your lovely birthday wishes and comments on my previous post.

I received this beautiful piece of fabric in an exchange last year.  I keep getting it out and admiring it and then putting it away because I'm not sure what I would like to do with it.  I think it's to lovely to cut into for use in my cross stitch finishes, so having now got back into the patchwork/quilting side of things it really shouts at me to want to make it into something.  Seeing as I am only a beginner and I don't want to ruin it, does anyone have any suggestions for me on what I can do with it.  Maybe there are some easy simple pattern suggestions you might have that will enhance it and make the best use of it.  Or do I simply add borders in a nice plain matching fabric.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated as I really don't want this beauty to go to waste.

Until next time, happy stitching/quilting.

My Birthday & SAL Progress

Hi dear friends and followers, it was my birthday yesterday and thank you to all that sent me birthday wishes via the RAK blog and email.
The bonus of my birthday being yesterday was that it was a long weekend here in Perth and so I got to stay home with my wonderful family.
Today I had a lovely surprise parcel waiting for me from my dear friend June.  Look at the sweet gifts she sent me.

The aroma from the fragrance envelope is wafting through my room as I write this post and its delightful.

I have also been stitching away on my Sorpresa 3 SAL and now have completed Part 10.

In more stitching/quilty news, I have also completed my first piece for the Christmas In July swap and very pleased with how it turned out.  I will show sneaky peeks soon.

Until next time, happy stitching/quilting.
