Craft & Quilt Fair Goodies

I had such a fabulous time on Saturday at the Perth Craft & Quilt Fair.  I got to meet some wonderful Perth bloggers who I had been in contact with and following for a while, they all made me feel so welcome into their group.
We all started out with coffee and a chat to catch up and then headed into the Fair.

Here's a photo of the goodies I bought on the day.

A bunch of fat quarters. (Some tone on tone so I can use these for stitcheries).
The cardboard spools also hold fat quarters of fabric. (gotta love the hexie print).
A lovely Christmas stitchery (excited to start this one when some of my other commitments are completed).
A small quilted bag kit.
A pigma pen for when I start on some other stitcheries.

I only had limited funds to spend, but now I know what you can buy at this wonderful Fair, next year I will have saved up alot more and will really spoil myself.
Great fun was had by all with great purchases snapped up by all the ladies.
I would like to thank Anthea, Julia, Maria, Sandra, Tracee and Tracy for making me feel so welcome and I really look forward to future get togethers with you all.

Until next time, happy stitching/quilting

Parts 8 & 9

Another progress shot of my SAL Sorpresa 3 with parts 8 and 9 now completed.

I am so excited to be attending the Perth Craft & Quilt Show this Saturday and I'm so looking forward to meeting some new blogging buddies.  We are meeting for a coffee at the beginning of the day and then will make our way around the stalls and displays.  Hopefully I wont forget to take my camera.

Until next time, happy stitching/quilting

SAL Sorpresa 3 Part 7

Well my mojo did end up returning home to me over the past week - YAY!!!!!
I got stuck back into my SAL by Sara Guermani.  I have really enjoyed this SAL and now I have seen the finished piece I am determined that mine will also reach the finish line.

It's a gloomy day here today, some sprinkles of rain are breaking through here and there and the days are getting cooler.  The photo is on the darker side but you get the idea of how far along it is.  I just finished Part 7 which is the little cabin under the ski lift with the fence and snowman.  The next part fills in the area above the fence with another cabin, which I will probably start on today.

Until next time, happy stitching/quilting
