Catch Up On Exchanges

The last exchange I participated in was the Stitched With Love "Home Sweet Home".
For this exchange I sent to Melissa.  I stitched a little house from a Gazette 94 pattern, choosing my own colour combination and made it into a pinkeep, I also found a sweet little pink fabric flower to embellish it with.  The wooden plaque I found out whilst shopping and thought it was perfect for the theme.

I received from Marjorie and she explained the pattern for the little pillow came from an old magazine and she made the crochet squares herself.  Thank you Marjorie, it was a lovely exchange to receive.

I am currently stitching on my SAL Sorpresa 3 trying to catch up and I also have another two pieces to stitch and finish for a July 15 deadline.
Until next time, happy stitching

For June

Here is the little gift that I sent to my dear friend June for her recent birthday.

I made a hanging wicker coaster finish (I'm quite enjoying this finish style) and added a bit of bling in the pin that is holding the bow on.
I'm happy that June loved my gift, even though it did arrive a little late (story of my life with mail at the moment).  Even posting within Australia takes over a week to arrive, it just doesn't seem right!

Until next time, happy stitching

Blackbird Round 12

Another successful exchange has finished up over at the Blackbird Exchange blog for Round 12.
This round I stitched for Barbara.  My pattern of choice was the "Tulip & Stars Pincushion".  I really like the colours in this one and I'm happy that Barbara did too.

I also received from Barbara and she stitched this sweet design for me and included some wonderful goodies to go with it.  Barbara makes her own hand dyed threads and she sent me a little selection to try out and also this gorgeous hand painted hornbook.

Thank you dear Barbara for such a fun and enjoyable round.
Until next time, happy stitching

Birthday Surprises!

Back on June 2 it was my birthday, but I can only now reveal my lovely gifts from friends.  Why is that? I hear you ask.  Well these packages were delivered between May 20-25 and I only just received them.  I cant believe how worse the mail system is getting, that was one slow plane for sure!

First up is my lovely gift from June.  She stitched my initial and made a sweet pillow finish for me, it has a gorgeous pin attached too.  She also included some lovely little extras aswell.  Check out the ever soo cute hedgehogs on the card.

It was June's birthday yesterday, Happy Birthday dear friend, and it appears as if my parcel is still travelling to her.

Secondly, this one was indeed a surprise as Lynda sent this to me as a RAK through the Random Acts of Kindness blog and wrote in the card that it was for my birthday.  This chart was on my wishlist.  Thank you Lynda for thinking of me.

I have some other finishes to show you, but thought I would leave them for my next post, otherwise I might go ages without being able to blog if I show you everything at once. hehe
Until next time, happy stitching

SAL Progress

I finally managed to get myself a piece of fabric large enough for the SAL Sorpresa 3, so I started Part 1 and finished that up over the long weekend.

It was such a relaxing stitch that I really enjoyed it.  However, I have to have a little break whilst I do some work on some exchange pieces.

I recently finished stitching a birthday piece for my friend June, but wont be able to show that until it arrives.  Completed my Blackbird Design Round 12 piece for my partner but again cant show it until it arrives and my exchange for the Stitched With Love Home Sweet Home exchange, but, you guessed it, cant show you yet!! hehe

Until next time, happy stitching
