My WIP Progress

Hello dear friends, I received a couple of emails after my last post asking me to post a picture of the progress on my Carriage House Samplings "Alphabet Blocks" progress.
Its soo nice to know that you are interested in seeing my work and it helps me to push along and get more squares done.

Here is my progress soo far.

Thanks again for all your lovely comments and emails.
I have started stitching on Erynne's SAL and its soo addictive.  I will show a progress picture next post.
Until next time, happy stitching

Exchange & Ornie's

Hello dear friends, the Stitched With Love "Fall Into Halloween" exchange has just wound up and now I can share my photos with you.
This round I was partnered with the same person that also sent to me, Chris from Tot Hill Farm Stitches.  She chose a Halloween themed parcel and this is what I stitched and sent her.

Bent Creek "Ghostie Manor" - Flatfold
That was such a fun stitch.

I chose a Fall theme and here is what Chris stitched and sent to me.

Love the Prarie Schooler design pillow with the lovely chenille trim.
Thanks Chris for a great exchange.

As mentioned in my previous post I had been busy making some christmas ornies.  Here is a picture of them all.

I have let my Mum choose the one she wants this year and the other 3 are going out to my dear stitching friends with their Christmas parcels.

I have finished stitching my Stitched With Love "Christmas" exchange piece and got the parcel posted out yesterday.  I have since been stitching on my CHS Alphabet blocks and I'm hoping to start on a Christmas design that Erynne of Stitcheree put up on her blog, I have been admiring Edgar's progress of it and I now want to get stuck into it too.

Until next time, happy stitching

Pincushion Creation

I would like to start off by wishing my dear friend Lisa S a Happy Birthday.  It was Lisa's birthday on Halloween so I'm a few days late posting.
Here is what I sent her for a gift this year.

Shakespeare's Peddler - Sampler Roundy

I didn't have a round base to mount it on so instead I made a round pincushion finish and found a vintage looking button for the centre.  Its the first time I have tried this finish and I was happy with how it turned out.  I used some black chenille to trim it with.

I was also a lucky winner over on Lisa M's blog and this is the parcel that arrived for me.  I got soo excited when I saw all the lovely trims and threads, not to mention the beautiful piece of linen, aren't the colours amazing!  I have also found some ornie's in this magazine that I will be stitching up for sure.  Thank you Lisa!

I have been stitching on an exchange piece and also working on some Christmas Ornie's which I should have finished soon and will show them on my next post.

Thank you all for visiting and your lovely comments, I do appreciate them all.
Until next time, happy stitching
