Little Houses Pinkeep

I heard from Brenda that she has received the piece I made for her in our Stitching Between Friends exchange.

LHN - Heart & Home Sampler
All Dolled Up Series

I stitched this on a piece of 27ct Linda evenweave and used the called for DMC threads.  I used two tones of gold ribbon to trim it and some pearl and lilac pins for decoration.  I also found a larger bead for the top bow that matched into the colours really well.  I am pleased that Brenda loved it.

I'm excited as today I am picking up my two stitched pieces from the framers.  I promise a photo of them both really soon.
Until next time, happy stitching

Little Houses Exchange

Hi everyone, it has been a little while since my last post but I sure have been busy.

First up I wanted to show you my exchange piece from Brenda.  Our group "Stitching Between Friends" went with a Little Houses theme and this is what Brenda made for me.

Its a Blackbird Design that she made into this wonderful pincushion.  Isn't it marvellous!

My piece for Brenda is still winging its way over the ocean, so hopefully I can show that to you all soon.

Here is my progress picture of the Carriage House Alphabet, I am currently stitching the fourth block "P" border and hoping to have the whole block completed over the weekend.  It will then have a little rest whilst I work on my HOE PS ornie.

I took some work into the framers on Monday.  One was "Marion" my recent finish and the other was LHN's Colonial Dry Goods I finished last year.  I'm looking forward to picking them up which will be in about two weeks time.

Until next time, happy stitching

Working On My Alphabet

Another exchange piece down and I have returned to work on my CHS Alphabet blocks.  "O" block is finished minus the fill in of the word square (I still have to decide on a colour and buy a couple of skeins of it yet).  I have now started on the "N" block.

I do enjoy stitching on this, however when you think of the overall size of the project it does get quite daunting, but I am determined to finish this beauty and it will then be my largest finish ever!!!

I only have one other exchange in the near future (due April 15) to consider so I think I might be able to notch up some more blocks before I start on that.
Until next time, happy stitching
