A Framing Complete!

I finally got around to using one of those lovely frames I was lucky to receive from my parents.
I framed my "There Is A Garden" finish.
Now, the smallest frame was too small, and this frame was the next one up, so to fill in some of the blank space I pinned a piece of lace down one side and highlighted it with a piece of brown ribbon to match in with the design.  I am happy with the final look.

I have been busy stitching, but what I am working on are all for upcoming exchanges so I cant really show anything right now.
I have been busy getting together some items to go with a private exchange piece and also an upcoming Picnic themed exchange piece.
Until next time, happy stitching

What a Lovely Surprise!

I just received my private exchange from Lisa S, and WOW I am speechless!!!!
I have admired this design and finish on other stitchers blogs and always thought how lovely it would be to own.  Well now I have my very own special one from a very dear friend.  Lisa said that she was able to find almost the exact fabric that was used in the original aswell.

I absolutely LOVE my gifts and will treasure my lovely stitchers pouch.  Thank you soo much Lisa.

I also finished up another WIP last night.  This one I have wanted to stitch for a long time and my plan is to frame it and hang it in my laundry room.

It was a really enjoyable stitch.

Flatfold Finish & Secondhand Goodies!

I have just heard that Lisa S has received the piece I stitched for her in our private exchange.  We chose a stitching related theme and I found this one as a freebie online.  It was great fun to stitch especially using the thread I chose (details below) and then personalising it with our initials.

Stitched using Waterlillies Caron Silk - Rose Blush
28ct cream evenweave
Finished as a flatfold

I was also lucky to be given these lovely frames from my parents on the weekend.  They have been doing some clearing out and decided to put some photos together in larger frames so they no longer needed these smaller ones, so I grabbed them.  They are all soo lovely and I have included a close up shot so you can see some of the detail on them.  I am hoping to use one of them for my recent "There Is A Garden" finish (as shown in my previous post).  Thank you also for all your lovely comments on my finish, this is definately a stitched piece I will treasure forever.

Until next time, happy stitching
