Prairie Schooler WIP - Finished

Here's my HAPPY DANCE finish .... YAY!!

What a wonderful piece to work on, I thoroughly enjoyed this one. My plan is to have this framed, so I will spend some time getting quotes at the framers etc, as I really dont think I will be able to find a frame myself that would be the right size.
I am currently stitching away on my HOE By The Sea exchange piece, we havent been allocated partners as yet but I have always wanted to stitch this design, so this exchange was the perfect chance. My August and September will be filled with exchanges which I am really looking forward to.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Lizzie Kate Exchange for Janet

Janet C has received the Round 1 piece for the Lizzie Kate Exchange that I made for her.
I decided on the "Life's A Stitch" chart and finished it as a no-sew cube.
I was happy to hear that Janet loves pink, so the braiding ribbon I chose was perfect for her.

Over the weekend I finished up my Prairie Schooler WIP, YAY, HAPPY DANCE!!!
I will post pictures tomorrow of the full piece. I only have my Hunt Sampler WIP now to work on inbetween my exchanges. I have quite a lot on during August/September, but I am currently ahead of myself and should be ok.
Until next time, happy stitching

Xmas in July from Chris H

Yesterday I received my exchange from Chris H, she stitched for me the design "Christmas is Love" by Shepherds Bush using 28ct linen and DMC. I also received two bags of beads, some lovely dyed linen, ribbon and some Pastilles dark chocolate.
Thank you Chris, it will look lovely on my tree this year.
Until next time, happy stitching

A RAK & A Win!

I received word from Vonna that she had received the scissor fob I made for her as a RAK. When I first met Vonna she was kind enough to send me some charts and floss, and one day I knew I would send her something back as a Thank You. The little motif was a freebie online and this was the first time I had tried rouched ribbon, but I was soo pleased with the end result and Vonna loved it to.

Also the other week I was the lucky winner in a blogoversary draw over at Jeanne's blog, I received a lovely mesh bag to take all my stitching around with me, 4 Lizzie Kate charts, Ewe & Eye & Friends chart "Joy" and a Sisters & Best Friends chart "Lady Liberty". Some of the LK charts also included the charms. It was a wonderful win, and those LK charts will definately come in handy for my LK exchange group.
I posted off my LK exchange piece last week, so hopefully my recipient will recieve at the end of this week, as it didn't have too far to go.
Until next time, happy stitching

Xmas In July

I received an email from Ellen S (no blog) that she had received my exchange for the HOE Xmas In July. I really enjoyed this one, stitching her the Vals Stuff design from JCS 2008 Ornie special called "Christmas is a Time to Share". I also had the perfect little present embellishment for the snowman to hold out. I used DMC floss and the WDW floss "Bethlehem" for the snowmans scarf, and if I remember correctly I stitched him on 28ct bone evenweave. My finish of choice was my favourite - flatfold. I included in the parcel some fabric, dmc floss, snowman ribbon and a Waxing Moon pattern.
I have had a busy couple of days with stitching, I also finished up a small RAOK for someone in the blogging world as a thank you, and last night I completed my Lizzie Kate Exchange piece aswell. I am way ahead for my exchange pieces at the moment, next deadline being Aug 15.
Until next time dear friends, happy stitching
