Another Finish..

but once again I cant show you yet. I have finished the items I am sending Angela for our Easter Exchange, but it is still 3 weeks until mail out time, but that gives me all that time to look for extra goodies for her parcel instead. YAY!!

Next up is a secret project item for a dear friend, she reads my blog so I cant give away too much.

Next month I am looking at doing some "Me" stitching and have chosen this lovely design by Homespun Samplar called "The Hunt Sampler". I havent picked out any colours as yet, but I like the colours on this picture, so we shall wait and see.

Until next time, happy stitching.

Here it is...

the PS ornie that Susan P sent me for the February exchange of the Year Long Prairie Schooler group. Its the christmas design from the JCS 2008 ornie special. I love this design as I stitched it for Sandra as her christmas ornie present. Susan finished it off with a lovely blue and silver ribbon and white pearl head pins . Thanks heaps Susan.
Until next time, happy stitching.

Lots of Stitching...

but I cant show piccies yet. I have finished my Prairie Schooler item for the Year Long PS exchange. I will be posting it off this week, so it will still be a little while before I can show a picture. I received mine today from Susan P and it is just gorgeous. I dont have access to a camera until tomorrow, so first thing when I do I will post a picture with all the details.
I have also started on an Easter Exchange that I am doing for my dear friend Angela. It's just a personal exchange between the two of us. I'm not going to say too much as I dont want her to guess what it will be, but its nice and colourful.
I am also working on a Secret Project for another dear friend, so unfortunately it might be a while before I can post any pictures of my finishes. ho hum.
Whilst I am still waiting for my Supernatural S2 and Prison Break S3 to finally come back onto Foxtel tv here, they have put on another great series that I am thoroughly enjoying "Terminator, The Sarah Connor Chronicles", great so far, I think we are up to the 4th episode. I like the cast and the effects are also good. However it has now been over a year for us waiting for Prison Break S3 to start which is extremely annoying, and Supernatural S1 ended just before Christmas and they are showing ads that say it should be returning soon, so hopefully not too much longer, I need my Sam and Dean fix.
Until next time, happy stitching.

Snowman robin

Well I finally managed to finish Cyndi's snowman robin off last night. Wow! I havent done that much back stitch in a long time, probably because I am used to PS and LHN designs that dont require a lot. I think he turned out rather cute in the end, I just hope I didn't get any of the backstitch colours mixed up as it was hard to tell some apart.

Onto my Year Long Prairie Schooler exchange for Feb next, I think I might have an idea for pattern and finish, just not sure yet.
Until next time, happy stitching.

PS. Thanks for the comments about my sons picture, I guess it must be weird for some of you to see him in shorts and hat, but it is rather hot here at the moment and they can only play outside if they have their hat with them. He really enjoyed his first week and his teachers seem really nice.

Exchanges for Jill

I was lucky to receive Jill's name in two exchanges recently, and I can now show you what I stitched for her. The first exchange was the HOE Lizzie Kate. I stitched "Bloom" and finished it as a small pillow. I was really excited about this finish as it was the first I had made up on my new sewing machine. I did a few trial runs first to make sure I got the hang of it, and then went for it, the front has the green fabric and the back has a soft pink fabric. I also included a pattern, some metallic thread, silver bows and gold snowflake charms.

Second exchange for Jill was the ASOE Winter ornie. I took one of the patterns from Prairie Schoolers "Winter Wind" using DMC threads on a cream linen, adding a little green tassel at the bottom.
I am still plodding along on Cyndi's snowmen robin, so no new stitching to talk about I'm afraid.

It was my son's first day at Pre-Primary today and here he is all decked out in his uniform. I'm lucky in that he has no problems leaving me and has no separation problems, he is used to being in day care so he really enjoys new places. Plus he knew his friends would be there aswell. He had a super morning and is looking forward to tomorrow.

Happy stitching.
