Teacher Gift & MAW Received

Hi Everyone, I managed to finish the Teachers gift for my son's Kindy teacher yesterday. I made a simple pin keep minus pins. This is a LK design which was super quick to stitch up and I used a bone coloured 28ct evenweave and DMC threads.
I also have to apologise to Leena for taking so long to post a picture of the lovely ornament she sent me through the MAW group (Make A Wish). I asked for a Homespun Elegance design in any finish, and seeing as it was christmas time Leena chose to finish it as an ornament for the tree. I love it Leena, thank you.
Thank you all for visiting, take care

Ornament from Jody

As promised, here is a picture of the cardinal ornament that my friend Jody stitched for me.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my reindeer no-sew cube, I am pleased with how it came together.

My son's kindy graduation went well, and terrible me forgot the camera, how awful is that!!! Anyway he enjoyed himself heaps, he was an apple that the hungry caterpillar had to eat through. Then they had to sing two songs for all the guests and were then presented with their certificates and a book. We enjoyed a small picnic afterwards. There are only 2 more sessions of Kindy left after today and then he is off to Pre-Primary next year. Our school year runs differently to the States and UK, they start in February and finish in December, there are 4 terms separated by 2 weeks holidays and the end of year is a large 6-7 week gap before the new school year starts.
Happy stitching

Cheryl's Reindeer Games Parcel

As the heading say's, I heard from Cheryl that the SBEBB Reindeer Games parcel arrived safely in Scotland.
I chose to stitch Cheryl a design from American Folk Art Designs which was of a reindeer that was dated back to 1666 design wise. I loved the look of this reindeer and I added the little white snowflake to its antler as an extra something. I used Six Strand Sweets floss "Black Licorice" and finished it as a no sew cube. The extras I included were a tea towel, wooden reindeer ornament, some floss and christmas charms. I am happy that Cheryl liked everything.

I myself received a wonderful parcel from my friend Jody (no blog) in the USA, we always send each other parcels at christmas time and birthdays. As soon as the box was opened this rather yummy smell was seeping out of the wrapping, inside I found a delicious "Gingerbread" candle, two squares of chocolate, a notepad with cardinals on it, two gorgeous cardinal ornaments for my tree, and some lovely ribbon. Jody stitched me a lovely ornament this year with a cardinal on it, I will take a picture of it and post it tomorrow.

After work today we are attending my son's Kindy Graduation Play. They are performing "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". It should be a lot of fun, hopefully I can take some photos there aswell.
Until next time dear friends, happy stitching.

SBEBB Reindeer Games

I received a wonderful parcel from Cathymk for the SBEBB Reindeer Games exchange. Just look at this amazing tree that she made for me, it is from the Prairie Schooler's Christmas Trees II and is stitched on Lakeside Linen's "Pear" Edinborough. It is just gorgeous and a lovely surprise. She also included a small wooden reindeer ornament, some tissues, pins, thread rings, tags and a stocking. Thank you Cathy, I love it.

I also received word from Heather that she had received the ornament that I sent her in our ornamant swap. Its the first time I have finished an ornament with beading around the edge.

Hopefully my recipient of the Reindeer Games exchange wont have to wait too long to receive the parcel I sent.
Bye for now

Ornie's Galore!

Well its that time of year when all you really seem to be stitching is ornaments. I dont mind stitching ornaments, I try to do different finishing techniques with them to give me a little more variety.
I heard from two more dear friends that their ornaments had arrived in the mail, and I used two different techniques with their ornaments.

First up is the ornie that I stitched for Sandra (no blog) who lives in England. Sandra signed up for my PIF's during the year and we have stayed in contact. I picked the Prairie Schooler design from this years JCS Ornie special.

And the next ornie is one I stitched for Sharon, this one is the Lizzie Kate Blessings ornie "Song". These are such quick easy ornie's to stitch up and experiment with, I have just stitched up the "Family" one for my Mum's tree, just thinking of which way to finish it now.

We decided to put the Christmas tree up over the weekend. This year I have accumulated some lovely ornies from friends that I was able to display. I seem to have gone off the use of tinsel now and didn't use any at all, just the lights and the ornie's, and I think it is better looking this year. The top of my buffett stand I have placed all the stand up regular things like some reindeer and a tin santa and also a lovely snowman box that Angela made for me last year. I have also hung the stockings from my rocking chair. My little reading and relaxing nook has turned into Christmas land. I am hoping to take pictures this week and I will post a couple.
I was totally blown away by Becky's beautiful christmas home decorations, I particulary like the old world santas and her gorgeous snowmen on display. My christmas land is no where near as big a display as this, but I am hoping to collect some more santas and old world style ornie's over the years to make it more exciting for my son. Christmas is soo much more exciting when you have kids that start to understand the meaning of it more. My son cant wait to go and see Santa this year.
Thats all my latest news for now. Happy stitching!

Snowman Exchange for Me!

YAY! I received my snowman exchange yesterday and was really surprised by all the wonderful snowman items in the parcel. The snowman partner who stitched for me was none other than Sharon (Daffycat), and I found out that the snowman ornament that was giving her grief was the one for me. Oh no! Anyway he turned out fantastic and I love him. Look at all the amazing things she included in my parcel, my son helped me open it and he couldn't believe how many snowman things were staring up at him, he couldn't stop giggling.

Thank you soo much Sharon, I love it all.

My Gift to Angela

Angela has informed me that the christmas parcel that I sent to her has arrived safely.
I decided to try something totally different this year and didn't do a standard style ornament. Instead I tried out a wall hanging, and this is how it turned out.

I was super pleased with it, and Angela really loves it, which I am so happy about. Its the Decorator Snowman from the JCS 2007 issue, I thought he was perfect for Angela as she adores snowmen and I thought he was a cutie. Angela has some better pics on her blog.
I also included some other gifts in her parcel which I forgot to take a picture of before it left, a teatowel, snowman ceramic ornament, floss, xmas tags and chocolate. Enjoy Angela, my dear friend.
Happy stitching.

Ornament from Angela

I also received my christmas parcel from Angela, and what a wonderful package it is. Angela sent me some fabric, stickers, a cute wooden ornament, bookmark, magnet, a Homespun Elegance pattern from my Wishlist, needles and some floss, and this gorgeous stitched ornie:-

Thank you Angela, soo much, I love it all.
Happy stitching everyone.

Ornament from Heather

I have received the ornie that Heather made for me in our christmas ornie swap.
She put a request on her blog asking if anyone wanted to do a swap this year, so I decided to join up. Here it is:-
Thanks Heather.

Jody's Ornament

I received word today that my dear friend Jody had received her Christmas parcel I sent out. I met Jody through another stitcher over a year ago and we have stayed in touch, we have been together in quite a few robins and we like to send each other gifts for special occassions.

I stitched A Cats Whiskers design called "Noel" using my own choice of colours, I also included some other extras like a tea towel and wooden snowflake ornament, but forgot to take photos.

Over the weekend I completed the SBEBB Reindeer Games exchange and also one of my sons teachers gifts, I only have one more to go and my stitching committments are completed for this year. YAY!! Now I will just make my Mum a small ornie for her tree and maybe even one for myself.
Happy stitching everyone.

Crazy Exchange

I have also heard from Margaret that she has received the Crazy Exchange xmas ornie that I sent to her. This was my first exchange with this group and I really enjoyed stitching this one for Margaret.

Personal Snowman Exchange *Edited*

I joined in a Personal Snowman Exchange that Sharon (Daffycat) was organising and I received word today that my recipient Rachael had received it.

I stitched "Joy Snowman" by Plum Pudding Needlearts using natural evenweave and DMC floss, and included some fun snowman extras. *edited to include pic of extras*

I have been super busy stitching ornaments ready for sending and I had a huge mailout on Friday just gone with 7 parcels sent out. There were 3 ornie's for my dear friends Angela, Mary Jo and Jody, my ornie exchange with Heather, a Crazy Exchange ornie, the snowman exchange parcel and a robin for my CSRR Yahoo group. I still have another 2 ornie's to go out tomorrow to ? and I am currently working on my son's teachers gifts for his Kindy graduation.

Until next time, Happy stitching everyone!

Tag, Your It!

Yes, its my turn to be tagged. Cheeky Angela finally got me, and I have had such a hard time coming up with 6 things. So they might not be very exciting, but its all I could think of.
6 Random Facts About Me
1) I'm a bit of a ghost buff, I enjoy watching paranormal shows like Most Haunted & Ghost Hunters. I guess that type of thing fascinates me more than anything, I like to think that there is something out there and it intrigues me that some people have the ability to see and hear things that other people cant.
2) My Grandad who passed away in 2005 was the love of my life, I had such a bond with him and I miss him terribly. He was Irish and because of this I do seem to have a bit of a fascination with anything Irish, I LOVE leprechauns and goblins (the old knarly looking ones not the cartoonish ones), and would love to be able to visit the place where he was born and surrounding Irish countryside one day.
3) I hate romantic movies, they just dont do it for me, the only one that I can watch over and over would have to be Titanic, but that is also because I have read soo much on the Titanic disaster and the ship itself. I am more of a horror buff then anything else, I love a good vampire movie, or the Alien series, scary movies are more exciting and watchable for me.
4) My husband got me into watching WWE Wrestling when we installed Foxtel tv, I now watch all the Pay Per View matches and even went to a live show in 2007 when they came to Australia, I have even bought tickets to the next live show here in July 2009 but we will be closer to the ring this time. Years ago I would have laughed at anybody that even bothered to watch it, but now I hold my tongue, I know its all fake but I just enjoy it and some of the wrestlers are quite entertaining to watch. Batista, Triple H, Shawn Michaels & Rey Mysterio are my favourites.
5) I emigrated to Australia from England with my parents when I was 9 years old. I still love my native country and I am very proud to be English, but I have been here soo long now that I dont think I could return there to live. I dont have much of an accent left, and became an Australian Citizen so travelling back to England for visits could be easier. I guess I can say I am proud to be English and Australian.
6) I HATE needles, I have such a phobia about them, just the thought of having to have a blood test done, turns my stomach. I am just such a woosy when it comes to them, and I know that I have lots to come again when we fall pregnant with our second child.
Well thats it, I dont think I am going to tag anyone else as most of my regular friends and blogs I watch have already been tagged.
Until next time, happy stitching.

I'm Still Here!

Gosh, its been a while since my last post, but I haven't been able to post anything as I have been working on exchanges.

I heard from Sally that she has received the Mattress Pincushion I made for her through the MAW board. She asked for a Mattress Pincushion in a Blackbird Designs pattern. I chose to stitch a portion of the Country Garden for her, and used one of the flower motifs on the back with our initials. Sally was very happy with it.
Well I have finished up my committments for November which have mainly been ornament exchanges and they will be posted out this Friday, so I just have to wait for them to be received before I can show you all what I have been working on. I am currently stitching on a robin for my CSRR Yahoo Group which is a beautiful Autumn Sampler and my square is a pear tree, this is going to look stunning when it is fully completed, and its owner Kay is going to be thrilled with it.

Well thats all for today, hopefully I wont have soo long inbetween posts next time.
Happy stitching!!

Exchanges Have Landed!

I have been told by both of my partners that they have received the exchanges I sent them.

First up the HOE Mattress Pincushion to Gaby. I read through Gaby's likes/dislikes and picked up her love of strawberries, I chose the design which is by Heart In Hand called "Strawberry Song". It was my first mattress pincushion finish and I was a little nervous about the finishing, but thankfully it turned out really nice, and Gaby really loved it. I also included a CCN chart, some strawberry buttons, bag of charms, fabric, red ribbon and GAST threads.
My SBEBB Pumpkin Patch exchange recipient was Judith and I chose to stitch her another Heart In Hand design called "Autumn Bird" and finished it as a pinkeep. I actually added some leaf embellishments to the front just under the bird, but took my photos before that duh!! I included a Shepherd Bush chart called Pumpkin Stew, fabric, ribbon, pumpkin charms in a mesh bag and some GAST thread.
Over the weekend I finished up my MAW Mattress Pincushion for Sally, so as soon as it arrives to her I will post pictures. I also managed to stitch up another christmas ornie for my Crazy Exchange and finished up a small robin.

I didnt start anything new last night as the WWE CyberSunday Pay Per View Event was on tv and I had to watch my favourite wrestler Batista win the championship belt, woohoo. Its my husbands fault that I'm into the wrestling, as soon as we hooked up to Foxtel I had to watch it every Saturday and Sunday morning and I kind of got sucked into it, plus he always points out to me that I was the one screaming louder when we went to a live event one year, especially when Batista came out. hehe, no comment!!
Well happy stiching to you all and keep well.

Truly in Awe!

Yesterday I received the most amazing surprises in the mail. I am truly gobsmacked by both of these items, stitched by two very talented ladies.
First I received my SBEBB Pumpkin Patch exchange from Andrea and WOW. She stitched for me a JBW French Country Pumpkin design and made it into a bourse, using 32ct evenweave and WDW Terracotta. I have always been amazed at how these bourse's are made and I can now say that I own one. It is truly beautiful and I will treasure it always. She also sent me some Crescent Colours floss, ribbon for finishing, tassels and some great pumpkin fabric, and look at the cute hedgehog card she included. Thank you so much Andrea, I follow your blog in my sidebar and always admired your finishes, I am soo pleased to own one of your pieces.

Next, an amazing gift from Sandra. I stitched a PIF for Sandra and she sent me the following as a thank you. Sandra made this beautiful Shepherds Bush Antique Heart Needleroll for me using DMC threads on 28count evenweave, you can see the cute little silver charm on the front. It has been soo beautifully put together. I have also admired Sandra's finishes after seeing her photo album and am proud to own a finished item stitched by her. Sandra also included the cutest little glass hedgehog for me aswell, he takes pride of place in my growing hedgehog collection as my first glass one. Thank you for your kindness and generosity Sandra, I will never forget it and cherish what you made for me.

I am still waiting to hear if my partners for the SBEBB Pumpkin Patch and the HOE Mattress Pincushion exchanges have received them yet.
I have also finished putting together the MAW Mattress Pincushion for Sally, I am just waiting on her details and it will be off in the mail shortly.

I am thoroughly enjoying these exchanges and have signed up for two more, HOE Lizzie Kate and SBEBB Reindeer Games, how exciting, I prefer stitching for others and making up the exchange goodies more so than stitching things for myself, I do fit the odd thing in here and there but mainly stitch pressies for friends. I still have another 3 xmas ornies to finish and a snowman exchange so it definately keeps me busy.
Thank you all for stopping by. Until next time, happy stitching.

Final PIF Received

I heard from Laurie today that she has received the PIF I made for her.
The design was a freebie online that I just thought was soo different and I really liked the colours in it, I had wanted to stitch it for a while, so the PIF was the perfect opportunity.
Laurie says that it is the first pinkeep she has received.

I really enjoyed doing the PIF's this year and may look into doing them again next year.

I have just finished up another christmas ornie for a friend and just have to do the finishing on it. I am also still waiting for my floss that is on backorder so I can finish up my MAW exchange for Sally, I am hoping it wont take too much longer as the deadline is looming ahead.

My next start will be more christmas ornies, I think I have another 2 to go, and then I will have the Personal Snowman exchange to start.

Happy stitching

Another PIF received

Today I heard that Deb had received the PIF I made for her.

It is a mini biscornu that I turned into a fob and added a little flower embellishment to the top. It was a freebie design online and I used a variegated dmc floss and a small pink button for the middle.
Here it is:

WOW! A Great Mail Day

I had the best mail day yesterday, receiving 3 exciting things from around the world.

First up I received a beaut snowman from Jacq in the Netherlands, I entered a competition on her blog and was selected to receive a hand made gift by her, this gorgeous snowman is wonderful and I will definately be displaying him this year at christmas time. Thank you soo much Jacq, I will be treasuring this little guy.

Second, I received my HOE Mattress Pincushion exchange from Kate L, she stitched a sampler design on a lovely purple colour hand dyed linen, plus the extras she included will really come in handy. Thank you Kate.

And finally I received back a robin that was sent out last year when I was stitching on aida. It went out to 5 ladies around the world. I really like the final piece and I think I will make it into a long pillow when I dig my sewing machine out. The pattern was in an old cross stitch magazine and I liked the way that each girl could represent each lady that was stitching it, that is why I had them include their names above them.
I sent out my SBEBB Pumpkin Patch exchange and my HOE Mattress Pincushion exchange today, they are both off to European destinations. I will post pics when they are received.

Well I really hope you like my piccies today. Thank you to all for your lovely comments on my snowman robin, I am super pleased with it, the ladies did a wonderful job for me. Now to finish it.

I am currently working on some christmas ornies, 1 down, 2 to go and I have a personal Snowman exchange coming up that I have to think about aswell.

Happy stitching everyone.

HOE Needleroll & 1 PIF has arrived

I received my HOE Needleroll from Laura M today, she stitched a lovely design which is done mainly over one with alot of specialty stitches around the back, the sun is soo detailed. She included some charms and a Shepherd Bush chart called Busy. Thank you Laura, I really love it.

I also heard from Sandra that she had received the PIF I made for her. I chose to stitch her Hoppity by Stone & Thread, I really like this little design. I chose to make it into a tin topper and used some Six Strand Sweet threads for the colours instead of the called for choices, I really wanted it to stand out on the purple coloured linen. I am pleased with how it turned it and Sandra likes it to.
I finished my HOE Mattress Pincushion over the weekend and was really pleased with the end result, its the first one I have ever made and its definately more time consuming than other finishes, but a great joy at the end to see it all come together.
Enjoy your day and happy stitching. Lisa

Currently stitching on - MAW Mattress Pincushion for Sally.

My Perfect Snowmen!

As the heading says, My Perfect Snowmen have returned home. Yay!!! They were part of a 4 person personal robin with Angela, Jody and Eileen. I couldn't wait for them to return home as I was really interested to see how they looked on the evenweave I chose for them, its a beautiful pink hand dyed one which I received a while ago in an exchange. They turned out fabulous and I am really happy with them. Now I just have to figure out what to turn them into.
I also received my Designer Square exchange from Jody and she stitched me two small panels from LHN. They too are great, and now I have to work out what to make them into aswell.

My wonderful prize from Edgar arrived yesterday, he posted it in this large box, and boy did my eye's pop open when I saw it stood on my kitchen bench, WOW, I dont get many parcels that size so it was a real treat. The Motif Sampler kit that I won in his giveaway is just lovely and too nice to open and spoil, so I might just have to display it in the box in my stitching room. Thank you soo much dear Edgar for the lovely prize, I shall treasure it for a long time to come.

Currently Stitching on: HOE Mattress Pincushion - done front and back panels, now stitching side panels and will be ready to join.

Happy Stitching

My PIF's are done!

I have finished all three of my PIF's now and will be mailing out tomorrow.
Laurie, Deb and Sandra please keep an eye out in your mail boxes over the coming weeks for a little parcel from me. I chose to make something different for each of you and not make you all the same thing. I tend not to like stitching the same pattern multiple times. I made the three items and then chose which one to send to which person dependant on what your likes/dislikes are and what I think will suit you the best. I just hope that you will like them.
Please let me know as soon as they arrive.
Happy Stitching!!

A New Robin & An Exchange Received

I have joined up in another 4 person robin and decided to use the Prairie Schooler "In The Woods" chart as my theme, the other animals to be stitched I will use in another robin eventually. I dont have to post out until October 3, but because of all my other exchange commitments looming I thought I had better finish it early. I really enjoyed stitching up the rabbit, the colours are so nice and subtle.

I received word today that Angela had received the Designer Square exchange I had stitched for her. Angela works as a librarian so I thought the chart was perfect for her and she did choose LHN as her preferred designer. I also sent along some silk lilac ribbon for use if she wants to make a pinkeep or bows to match in with it. I am pleased that Angela loved it and I cant wait to see what she makes it into.

I am currently working on my SBEBB Pumpkin Patch exchange, the design is all stitched now and I just have to add some small embellishments and then do the finishing. I will need to go to my local fabric store to pick up some backing fabric and also find some nice matching ribbon.

I was thrilled to find out yesterday that I had won a prize on Edgar's blog, its a sampler kit. Its my first time winning anything on the blog draws so I was "happy dancing" infront of the computer for a while.
Hope everyone has an enjoyable day, and until next time, happy stitching everyone.

MAW Received

My Make A Wish has arrived from Terry P, I wished for anything Quaker. Terry wrote in her note that she wanted to do a different finishing that I probably didn't already have, well she was right, I dont have a ruler case/pocket. I would never have thought of a finishing like it, so it was quite a surprise. I love the colours she used and she even put my name down one end with the year and her initials.

Thank you very much Terry!!!
Unfortunately I couldn't get a brighter photo, it is very overcast today and it has been raining for hours, so this is the best I could do and it was right up near the window.
Until next time, happy stitching

Jody's Evenweave Robin

I finished up working on Jody's robin the other night and its all packaged up ready to go home to her. I stitched the top part of the boy and the branch and birds above him, it was a super quick finish as it had easy solid blocks of colour. Hope you like it Jody!!

For my other work I have finished up with Angela's Designer Square Exchange and that will be heading out to her shortly, also a small mini robin I have been involved in with my CSRR group. I have also now completed two of my PIF's.

I placed an order with 123stitch the other day which includes two patterns I have chosen for my SBEBB Pumpkin Patch exchange and my HOE Mattress Pincushion, so I am looking forward to receiving them.

I would like to end this post by saying..
"My thoughts are with all my stitching friends in the USA today and all those who lost loved ones, due to the events of September 11". We are a day ahead here in Australia, but each year I light a candle in remembrance of all those who lost their lives that day.

Needleroll Has Landed!!

The needleroll I stitched for Marie W in the Hoe Needleroll exchange has arrived and she likes all that I sent. It was my first exchange with HOE and I really enjoyed it.

M Designs - Home Sweet Home

32ct cream linen

DMC floss

Here are all the items I sent in her parcel.
I'm all excited now and can't wait to receive my needleroll in the mail. Hmm... I wonder what it will look like!!! I promise a photo when it all arrives.
I also couldn't help myself and signed up for Vonna's MMIRR, oh dear, I will have to get my designing brain cells working overtime on this one, I have no idea where to start, but I have always wanted to do one, so I will have to get creative.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments on my blog and my stitching finishes, I appreciate each and every one of you who take the time to visit my little lounge and leave me such lovely comments.
Until next time, happy stitching.

A Robin Returns & 2 New Friends!!

I received a lovely surprise in the mail today - my Wannabee Bears robin had returned home from Jody's house along with some new friends. My Wannabee Bears was a robin between myself and three very good friends I have made through the stitching world, Angela, Jody and Mary Jo. I asked them to each stitch one of the bears and place their name underneath and when it returns I will make it into a wall hanging. I really wanted a piece that would be special, that I could keep forever, that they had all stitched on. All I have to do now is stitch in Mary Jo's name (as she forgot) and then find some material that will match in well for the wallhanging sides.

Well my special new friends in the parcel were these little fellows below, they are just too cute and Jody knows me well, hehe!!! She also sent me some lovely Silkweaver Peachy Keen 32ct Belfast linen, hand dyed thread, flower buttons, Heart In Hand - Christmas Bird and some other patterns. I feel very spoilt today and what a wonderful surprise - Thank you soo much Jody!!!!

I am currently working away on a Designer Stitched Square exchange that is between myself, Angela and Jody again, we listed 3 favourite designers and our partner chooses a pattern from one and stitches it up and sends it off. When received, we can then make it into whatever finish we like.

Time to go, take care everyone and happy stitching!!

Halloween Stack

I promised an update picture to Angela of her evenweave round robin, so here it is. It was a pretty quick stitch seeing as the colours are in big blocks. Its cute though, and when the bottom is finished and all the backstitching and charms are put on it will look fab. I stitched the top section, starting about half way up the ghost.
I have been stitching alot but I just cant show pictures yet, my needleroll was all finished and has been posted off to my partner, it will probably take 10 days or more to get there, so I have to wait to hear if it arrives safely. I finished up one of my PIF gifts and have all the stuff together for the next one now.

Gaby asked on my last post what "Curves" is, well it is a gym for women only, you work on a circuit of machines that are all weighted the same for everyone and inbetween each machine you have a platform that you just walk on or jog/star jumps what ever you feel like doing, the music plays and every 15 seconds a ladies voice comes over the music saying "Change stations now" so you move to the next in line, you do 2 circuits which amount to approx 30 minutes and then you do stretches. They recommend the least you do it is 3 times a week and that is what I can manage to do due to work committments, but its heaps of fun and seems to be working for me.
Well time to go, until next time, stitch away.....

Another Fob!

I made this fob as a birthday gift for my dear friend Angela. Her birthday isn't until the end of September, however I usually get a parcel together and send it SeaMail in June so it will reach her on time. This parcel seemed to arrive a good month early instead and she just couldn't resist opening it, so I get to show you the finished piece early.

I made this fob the same time I made the other fob for my friend Mary Jo and the tin for Jody, I had a spurt of making gifts for friends.
I managed to finish putting together my needleroll last night for the HOE exchange and will be posting the parcel out in a couple of days to my partner. I really hope they like it, its my second attempt at a needleroll and I am pleased with how it turned out.

I have never mentioned on my blog before about my weight loss goals, I joined Curves in Feb/March this year and changed my eating habits to try to lose some excess weight. I am not considered to be majorly overweight but I am overweight for my height. I have approx 15kgs to lose to be my ideal weight for my height (lowest point), I have already managed to lose 4.9kgs of that but the big difference is in my cm's lost, I have lost a total of 35.5cms all over since going and am now fitting back into my pre pregnancy clothes again..YIPPEE!!!! Most of those cm's have come away from my thighs, abdomen and arms. I am thrilled soo far with the results and have also just recently cut down on wheat products in my eating and am hoping this will help push along the kg's loss.
I wanted to try and lose this extra weight before I considered whether or not to have another baby, as I dont want to be fighting off more weight if I stayed as I am and got pregnant. Decisions, Decisions, I will probably get down to my ideal size and then not want to ruin it. haha!!!

I would love to hear from anyone who is also trying to budge those extra kilo's and if you have any advice on how to get rid of it faster.

Until next time dear friends. Happy Stitching & exercising.
